Card Flicking and Impressions.
Today was a strange day: on the way to work, I finally was how people get the advertizement cards on businesses doorsteps. These cards are about the size of a business card and have a small advertizement on them. They are usually found just laying on the ground in front of business. I always kind of assumed they were stuck in the door jam and people just let them fall when they openned their shop. Not so.
This morning I saw a man riding a moped down the sidewalk flicking them into the doorways. The sidewalk is about ten feet away, yet he hit smack dab in the middle of the door each time. Not only was he doing this incredibly quickly, but those buggers aren't easy to throw. It's like throwing a playing card ten feet. Try it. Not easy.
And then in the afternoon, I saw my first impression of me. Yu-jin (she's in a picture below. She's the fairy.) started mocking me in the middle of class when we were playing a game. She scrunched her eyes in with her fingers to make them more circular, then tried to do a deep American accent. It's the funniest thing I've seen in months.
