My First Film Festival.

Today begins the Pusan International Film Festival, one of the largest film festivals in all of Asia, and it's just a short subway ride away. Of course I can't pass by this opportunity, so I'm seeing as many movies as I can. Today, I started off with quite a good one: Manderlay. It's the story of this strange plantation in the South in the 1930s. It's really strange and a little hard to get into at first, but it turns out being really, really good. I liked it a lot (although I wouldn't suggest it for just anyone; it's definitely an artsy type movie). Tomorrow it's a documentary. I'll post comments on the films as I see them.
