The Seine River

The Seine is a large river that cuts the city of Paris in half. Basically, the city of Paris grew out of an Island on this river, The Isle of the City. Many of the major monuments and museums can by found along the banks: the Louvre, the Orsay, the Eiffle Tower, Notre Dame, and so on.
