St. Chappelle
Saint Chappelle church was originally built to house the crown of thorns and Christ's cross. The cross is tucked away, but the crown of thorns is paraded up and down the aisle of Notre Dame once a week. Dating has shown that these aren't really the true artifacts, but that doesn't take away from people believing OR from the beauty of this church. The inside is almost all stained glass, and on the sunny day that I went there it was quite dazzling. Each little section of the windows is a different scene from the bible, and supposedly all the windows together tell the whole story.
Saint Chappelle is also right next to a prison that housed royalty and clergy during the French Revolution. Some of the former occupants of the prison include Marie Antionette and Louis XVI (I think that's the right Louis, but I'm not 100%).
