Erotic Choas Boy (Movie 2)
The second movie I was at the film festival was a documentary called Erotic Chaos Boy. Obviously, the director was using "Erotic" to mean "dealing with love" not as we usually use it, because the movie was about his own troubles with love. He said early on there are two types of love in the world hard love and hard fuckin' love. His was a story of the latter. The movie documented his short relationship with a Japanese girl (she didn't speak Korean and he didn't speak Japanese, so they had to speak in the very very minimal English that they knew and communicate with hand gestures and drawings). Of course, the two broke up, and he was heartbroken. The rest of the movie documented his heartbreak and tried to answer the question: what is love?
After the movie, the director came in and did a little Q and A session. This was the world premier of the movie, so the audience was rather enthusiastic with their questions (making it hard for me to understand, since they were speaking quickly). Luckily, a translator translated every question and answer (it is, after all, an international film festival).
Overall, the movie was entertaining, but a bit on the amateurish side. I liked it, but it was no Manderlay.
I may be seeing a movie tomorrow (I have a friend with an extra ticket, since his girlfriend might not be able to go), but if I don't go then, movie three won't be until Tuesday. Weekend tickets for the festival sold out quickly.

Certainly sounds like you are having a good time with the film festival. We may have one of our own today. Pappy has a couple of films he want to see. And I have a couple I want to see. So you know how we have times when we go to 2 or 3 movies in one day! I am glad you are enjoying your films.
