The Wedding, The Party. The Birthday.

Hye Sook's best friend, Joo Yung, got married a few weeks ago. Aside from going to the wedding, we also got to go to the friends-only reception (there was a family one earlier). The groom had to drink a bowl of stuff mixed by his friends (alcohol and hot sauce and probably some spit for good measure). The bride and groom both had to sing and dance. And the reception ended with the bride eating a banana from the groom's crotch. She must have been very hungry.

About a month ago was my friend Dan's birthday. It started out at a baseball game, then went to a bar (where Dan's band played), and then out to the beach, where we hung out and talked until the wee hours of the morning.

Then there was Buddha's Birthday. Hye Sook and I headed out to some temples with her parents and had to wade through the crowds and brightly colored lanterns.

What a month it's been.
